Convincing "Yes" to EU By Slovenian Voters

Ljubljana, 23 March - As the preliminary unofficial results show, the Slovenian citizens backed their country's accession to the EU with a strong majority of nearly 90 percent at Sunday's referendum. When all these tasks are fulfilled, Slovenia will become an EU member on 1 May 2004.
