Slovenia for the First Time Shares Its Stance on Iraq in Security Council

New York, 27 March - The UN Security Council holds "the primary responsibility for the maintenance of international peace and security. It is urgent to reaffirm and restore the Council's credibility and authority as the body addressing and resolving crises threatening international peace and stability." With these words Slovenia's UN Ambassador Roman Kirn addressed the Security Council on Thursday, for the first time expressing Slovenia's stance concerning the war in Iraq.
