New Local Border Crossing Regime on Slovenian-Croatian Border as of Tuesday
Ljubljana, 31 March - Some 250,000 Slovenians living in the Slovenian-Croatian border area will have to adjust to a changed regime of border crossing which will be introduced on Tuesday as part of the bilateral cross-border agreement (SOPS). People living along the border will be able to cross it at special local points and other crossings with required documents, a regime which will be kept even after the Schengen border is introduced in the wake of Slovenia's EU accession scheduled for 2004.
