EEA Enlargement Talks Could Wrap Up by Friday
Brussels, 31 March - Talks about the enlargement of the European Economic Area (EEA) by ten new EU member states are likely to wrap up on Friday despite a discouraging start, STA was told by diplomatic sources in Brussels after Monday's fresh round of talks between the EU and its newcoming members on the one hand, and the EFTA members on the other. This would open the way for EEA enlargement treaty to be signed along with the EU Accession Treaty on 16 April in Athens.
