Macedonian Clay Christian Icons on Display in Celje

Celje, 2 April - The Regional Museum in Celje, central Slovenia, is to launch Wednesday evening an exhibition of clay icons that originate from an archeological site in eastern Macedonia. It is an exceptionally important archeological area, its finds reaching back from prehistory to the Middle Ages. The icons have been estimated to originate from between the sixth and eighth centuries.
