Ljubljana, 6 April - Schedule of events in the week from 7 to 13 April:
MONDAY, 7 April
LJUBLJANA - FM of Bosnia-Herzegovina Mladen Ivanic is to pay an official visit to Slovenia. He is to be received by PM Anton Rop, President Janez Drnovsek and Parliament Speaker Anton Rop. Ivanic and Slovenian FM Dimitrij Rupel are to sign a bilateral agreement on co-operation in customs.
LJUBLJANA - Head of the Directorate General for employment and social affairs at the European Commission, Odile Quintin, is to visit Slovenia as part of a tour of EU candidates. She is to meet Labour Minister Vlado Dimovski.
LJUBLJANA - Macedonian Culture Minister Blagoja Stefanovski, who is on a working visit to Slovenia, is meeting Slovenian counterpart Andreja Rihter.
LJUBLJANA - Justice Minister Ivan Bizjak is to present judiciary statistics for 2002 at a press conference.
BERLIN - FM Dimitrij Rupel will be an introductory speaker at a conference on the effects of EU enlargement on the common European policy on development co-operation.
TORONTO - President of the National Council Janez Susnik is to meet Toronto Archbishop Alojzij Ambrozic and deputy speaker of the Ontario parliament Bert Johnson.
POSTOJNA - Oil trader Istrabenz is to give a press conference upon the signing of the contract to purchase a majority stake in Postojnska jama turizem, the manager of the world-famous Postojna caves.
TUESDAY, 8 April
LISBON - Defence Minister Anton Grizold is to pay an official visit to Portugal for two days.
WARSAW - Culture Minister Andreja Rihter is to visit Poland until 10 April on the invitation of counterpart Waldemar Dabrowski. A bilateral programme of co-operation in culture, science and education between 2003 and 2006 is to be signed between both countries.
LJUBLJANA - The parliament is to convene for an extraordinary session on demand of the opposition parties to discuss alleged irregularities in the purchase and sale of the Slovenian Investment Bank (SIB). The MPs are also to pass changes to farm land act in a shortened procedure. The changes, filed by SLS are almost identical to the government bill recently rejected by the MPs.
LJUBLJANA - Interior Minister Rado Bohinc and Information Society Minister Pavel Gantar are to deliver introductory speeches at the forum on public information act, organised by the Public Administration Institute at the Ljubljana Law Faculty.
WEDNESDAY, 9 April
LJUBLJANA - Parliamentary foreign committee is to convene for an emergency session to discuss letter of MP Aurelio Juri (ZLSD) to PM Anton Rop regarding the call to join the initiative of Belgium, Germany, France and Luxembourg to strengthen common EU defence policy.
LJUBLJANA - Behind closed doors the parliamentary commission investigating the attack on journalist Miro Petek is to convene to discuss the reports by Interior Minister Rado Bohinc and State prosecutor General Zdenka Cerar regarding the obstacles in co-operation between the commission and authorities investigating the case.
LJUBLJANA - Invited by FM Dimitrij Rupel, Dutch FM Jaap de Hoop Scheffer is to visit Slovenia.
STRASBOURG - The European Parliament is to discuss the final stages of the EU enlargement in 2004 with ten new members, including Slovenia. The absolute majority of MEPs have to vote in favour of the admission of new countries.
LJUBLJANA - FM Dimitrij Rupel is to receive the copies of credentials of ambassadors of Kazakhstan and Peru, Rakhat Aliyev and Guillermo Russo.
LJUBLJANA - The Institute for Macroeconomic Analyses and Development (IMAD) is to hold a press conference to present the latest bulletin Economic Mirror.
LJUBLJANA - A show of telecommunications and Internet Teleinfos is to open until 12 April.
THURSDAY, 10 April
LJUBLJANA - Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS) and Europe Centre are to give a round table on Slovenia's lobbying in the EU, before and after membership.
PORTOROZ - The association of the Slovenian national oil committee of the world oil congress is staging a two-day workshop entitled "Oil Industry in the EU".
LJUBLJANA - Mobile operator Vega is to present 2002 business results and plans for the future.
LJUBLJANA - Regular cabinet session.
LJUBLJANA - Basketball club Union Olimpija is to play against Adecco Asvel in the fifth round of the second phase of Euroleague.

BRUSSELS - Labour Minister Vlado Dimovski is to meet European Commissioner for employment and social affairs Anna Diamantopoulou.
LJUBLJANA - The central bank is to present the February data of Slovenia's balance of payments.
LJUBLJANA - FM Dimitrij Rupel is to receive South Korean Ambassador Choi Youngjin for a farewell visit.
