Enlargement Financing Problem Solved
Strasbourg, 8 April - Representatives of the European Parliament, European Commission and the Greek EU presidency have solved the problem of enlargement to ten new members, among them Slovenia. As officials agreed in Strasbourg on Tuesday, additional funds of EUR 480 million will be provided for newcomers in the first three years of membership, i.e. from 1 May 2004 through 2006.
