Netherlands and Slovenia Have Similar View on EU's Future, Says Scheffer
Ljubljana, 9 April - The Slovenian and Dutch foreign ministers, Dimitrij Rupel and Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, discussed the countries' common future within the EU and NATO in addition to the international situation, particularly the war in Iraq and the situation in SE Europe in the aftermath of the assassination of Serbian PM Zoran Djindjic. On behalf of his country, Scheffer welcomed the outcome of Slovenia's referendum in which membership of both the EU and NATO were given the green light.
