Referendum Initiative Goes Back to Constitutional Court, MPs Decide
Ljubljana, 9 April - Convinced that a referendum initiative to limit opening hours of shops on Sundays and holidays is in breach of the Constitution, parliament decided to send the initiative once again back to the Constitutional Court. With the obstruction of the coalition SLS and the opposition SDS and NSi, MPs decided to send the initiative, given by the shop workers trade union, for constitutional check in a 41:7 vote on Wednesday.
