Foreign Minister Peterle Meets Zieleniec

As a temporary member of the UN Security Council, the Czech Republic understands the position of Slovenia as far as the arms embargo is concerned. For the time being, the lifting of the embargo, which was set up by the Security Council for the territory of ex-Yugoslavia, is still an insoluble question. However, the situation is changing and it is very possible that the Security Council might discuss this issue solely with regard to Slovenia, said Josef Zieleniec, the Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs, at a press conference following talks with the Slovenian Foreign Minister, Lojze Peterle.
