Poland Blocks EEA Enlargement Agreement
Brussels, 10 April - Poland on Thursday blocked the conclusion of talks on the enlargement of the European Economic Area (EEA) by ten future EU members, including Slovenia, as it is dissatisfied with the proposed distribution of the new fish import quotas from Norway and Iceland, diplomatic sources in Brussels said. The sources were unable to predict when the EEA agreement is to be concluded, although it seems that this will certainly not happen before Easter holidays.
