Gov't Takes Measures to Dam Imports of Pigs from Hungary and Poland
Ljubljana, 10 April - In a bid to protect Slovenian pig breeders from cheap exports from Hungary and Poland, the Slovenian government on Thursday took protective measures. The special duty as stipulated in the GATT/WTO agreement has been increased to the maximum allowed, while the preferential tax rate as set down in the CEFTA agreement has been eliminated.
