Mobile Operator Vega Optimistic Despite Significant Loss in 2002
Ljubljana, 10 April - Slovenia's third mobile telephony provider Vega - a subsidiary of Western Wireless International (WWI) - concluded 2002, its first full year of activity, with revenues of SIT 2.1bn (EUR 9m), and a gross loss of sit 6.25bn (EUR 26.9m). Given the intensive construction of its own network on a very competitive market, Vega expected the loss and is generally satisfied with last year's business results.
