The Soca River Hydroelectric Power Plants Opened
Nova Gorica, 24 April - Two newly constructed hydro power-plants on the Soca river (West Slovenia), Doblar II and Plave II, were opened on Thursday by President Janez Drnovsek. Electrical generator sets of both power plants will have a joint capacity of 60MW, which means an encreased maximum production by 106 GWh per year, or 75 percent of added power and 35 percent of added energy. The investment value of the equipment stood at EUR 105m.
