Convention's Proposal on Powerful EU Council Unacceptable to Slovenia
Brussels, 24 April - "It was a stormy day at the Convention," said FM Dimitrij Rupel after Thursday's presentation of the EU Convention's presidency's proposals on the future structure and organisation of the EU. Together with 16 other smaller countries Slovenia will oppose the idea of a powerful European Council, that would in fact establish one European state instead of a federation, Rupel revealed.
