Veterinary Administrations Bans All Use of Chloramphenicol in Animal Treatment
Ljubljana, 25 April - The Veterinary Administration (VURS) published a ban on prescribing Chloramphenicol by veterinaries and prohibited pharmacies from issuing the antibiotic and drugs containing it if prescribed by a veterinarian. The ban, coming into force on Friday, is to prevent the banned antibiotic to come into the organisms of animals and consequently into food of animal origin.
