Ex-Prison Becomes Ljubljana's First Year-Round Youth Hostel

Ljubljana, 30 May - A first year-round youth hostel opened on Friday in what used to be a prison inside a military compound in the centre of Ljubljana. The hostel in Metelkova Street, evocatively named "Celica" (The Cell), will also serve as an arts centre. It is a work of art in itself - more than 80 local and foreign artists were involved in the renovation of the building.
