Ljubljana, 1 June - Schedule of events in the week from 2 to 8 June:
MONDAY, 2 June
LJUBLJANA - A five-member U.S. administration delegation headed by Patricia McNerney from the office of the U.S. undersecretary for arms control and international security is to arrive in Slovenia to discuss the issue of the International Criminal Court (ICC) with Slovenian officials.
LJUBLJANA/BRDO PRI KRANJU - Slovakian Defence Minister Ivan Simko with delegation is to arrive for a two-day visit to Slovenia. Simko is to meet Defence Minister Anton Grizold, President Janez Drnovsek and Foreign Ministry State Secretary Iztok Mirosic.
PORTOROZ - The Gospodarski vestnik publisher and the Ljubljana Stock Exchange are to hold a debate on how to turn EU accession into a business opportunity. Taking part will be Economics Minster Tea Petrin, Europe Minister Janez Potocnik, EU Ambassador to Slovenia Erwan Fouere, and head of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange Drasko Veselinovic.
LJUBLJANA - Wubbo de Boer, the president of The Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM) from Spain's Alicante, is to arrive for a visit at the invitation of the Slovenian Office for Intelectual Property. He is scheduled to meet Economics Minster Tea Petrin and Europe Minister Janez Potocnik.
LUXEMBOURG - Minister of Labour, Family and Social Affairs Vlado Dimovski and Health Minister Dusan Keber are to attend as observers a two-day session of EU ministers in charge of employment, social policy and health, which will also be attended by their colleagues from the ten acceding countries. Together with Luxembourg's Minister of Labour Francois Biltgen, Dimovski is to sign an agreement on the co-operation between the ministries and an agreement on the implementation of a convention on social security between Slovenia and Luxembourg.
STRASBOURG - Slovenian MPs will attend June's four-day session of the European Parliament as observers.
TUESDAY, 3 June
MADRID - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to start a two-day visit to Spain, where he is to attend a session of foreign ministers from the NATO states and the acceding countries, and a session of the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council.
LUXEMBOURG - Finance Minister Dusan Mramor is to attend a regular monthly session of the EU finance ministers, which will also be attended by finance ministers from the ten acceding countries as observers.
LJUBLJANA - The Ministry of the Environment and the Agency for the Efficient Energy Use are to hold a press conference, presenting this year's renewable energy encouragement programmes.
LJUBLJANA - The Ministry for the Information Society is to give a press conference ahead of the 16th Bled E-Business Conference.
LJUBLJANA - The Economic Research Institute is to hold a press conference on a report on the competitiveness of the Slovenian economy.
LJUBLJANA - Slovenian Railways are to present to the press the 2002 business results and the latest figures.
LJUBLJANA - The Business Software Alliance (BSA) is to hold a press conference on the latest research findings about piracy in Slovenia.
LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Macroeconomic Forum at the Ljubljana Faculty of Economics is to organise a seminar, hosting Croatia's central bank deputy governor Boris Vujcic, who is to present the research "Efficiency of Banks in Croatia: A DEA Approach".
PORTOROZ - The Days of Labour Law and Social Security are to kick off.
WEDNESDAY, 4 June
BUCHAREST - Agriculture Minister Franci But is to pay a three-day working visit to Romania at the invitation of his Romanian counterpart Ilie Sarbu. The pair is to sign an agreement on the co-operation between the Slovenian and Romanian agriculture ministries.
BRUSSELS - A three-day session of the Convention on the future of Europe will be attended by the Slovenian members of the Convention, including Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel.
BRESTANICA - The thermoelectric power plant Brestanica is to give a press conference at the 60th anniversary of the company, which is also to be attended by Minister of the Environment, Spatial Planning and Energy Janez Kopac.
LJUBLJANA - The central Slovenian festival at the European Year of People with Disabilities is to be opened by Labour Minister Vlado Dimovski.
THURSDAY, 5 June
LUXEMBOURG - Interior Minister Rado Bohinc and Justice Minister Ivan Bizjak are to attend a two-day session of the EU ministers in charge of justice and home affairs, which will also be attended by their counterparts from the ten acceding countries.
LUXEMBOURG - Transport Minister Jakob Presecnik and Minister for the Information Society Pavel Gantar are to attend a two-day session of the EU ministers in charge of transport and communications, which will also be attended by their counterparts from the ten acceding countries.
LJUBLJANA - Government's regular weekly session.
FRIDAY, 6 June
LJUBLJANA - A debate "Slovenia, the Lisbon Strategy and Barcelona Goals" is to be held by the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS), the Jozef Stefan Institute and the Brussel-based Slovenian Business and Research Association. Addressing the event will be Economics Minister Tea Petrin, GZS President Jozko Cuk and EU Ambassador to Slovenia Erwan Fouere.
ROGASKA SLATINA - The Days of Slovenian Judiciary will kick off.
BRNIK - A ceremony honouring the day of the 15th brigade of the Slovenian army is to be addressed by the chief-of-staff of the Slovenian armed forces, Major General Ladislav Lipic.
