The EU Is Not Pressuring Anyone, EU Ambassador Says over ICC
Ljubljana, 3 June - "The EU is not pressuring anybody; it is deploying every effort to ensure the effective implementation of the Rome Statute, which established the International Criminal Court (ICC), and was signed and ratified by the overwhelming majority of the world community of nations." This is how EU Ambassador to Slovenia Erwan Fouere responded Tuesday to claims made by some U.S. officials that the EU has been influencing its future members in regards to bilateral agreements with the U.S. on the ICC.
