Slovenian Railways Plans to Reduce Loss This Year
Ljubljana, 3 June - Slovenian Railways (SZ) wrapped up 2002 with an operational loss of SIT 5.5bn (EUR 23.6m). To this, SIT 7.5bn (EUR 32.1m) must be added on account of short- and long-term liabilities inherited by the public company's new administration on 1 September 2002, SZ chair Blaz Miklavcic pointed out at Tuesday's news conference. He added that these liabilities "have been dragging on for over a decade, increasing each year".
