Hard Times for Pig Breeders in Slovenia, Breeders' Association Says
Domžale, 5 June - The greatest crisis in the history of Slovenian pig breeding resulted from non-critical and irrational attitude of Slovenian government toward stock breeding and to consumers. While the majority of Slovenia's neighbours have protected their breeders and almost entirely banned import of pork from countries that subsidy exports to 100 percent and more, Slovenia failed to do that, the pig breeders' association pointed out on Thursday.
