Ljubljana, 15 June - Schedule of events in the week from 16 to 22 June:

MONDAY, 16 June

LUXEMBOURG - In his role as an observer, Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to attend the regular monthly session of the EU foreign ministers.

LJUBLJANA - The parliament is to convene for a regular monthly session. The first on the agenda is the question and answer session for PM Anton Rop. The parliamentary finance and monetary policy committee will discuss the government proposal for supplementary budget.

ZAGREB - Transport Minister Jakob Presecnik and his delegation are to meet his Croatian counterpart Roland Zuvanic.

SREDISCE OB DRAVI/KRASINEC/ZUNICI - Three new border crossings with Croatia are to be opened.

LJUBLJANA - Health Minister Dusan Keber is to present the health system reform at a session of the health council.

TUESDAY, 17 June

SOFIA - President Janez Drnovsek is to start his two-day official visit to Bulgaria upon invitation of his Bulgarian counterpart Georgi Parvanov. Europe Minister Janez Potocnik is to accompany the president.

STOCKHOLM - Upon invitation of his Swedish counterpart Anna Lindh, FM Dimitrij Rupel is to pay an official visit to Sweden.

LUXEMBOURG - Agriculture Minister Franci But, in his role as an observer, is to take part in a session of EU agriculture ministers, where they are to discuss the reforms of the EU common agriculture policy.

LJUBLJANA - The Institute for Macroeconomic Analyses and Development (IMAD) is to reveal its spring report.

LJUBLJANA - The association for print and media at the Chamber of Commerce is to confer the Golden Mirror Award for best print ad.

LJUBLJANA - Ministry of Education, Science and Sports is to stage a conference entitled "Science for the future of Slovenia". Addressing the participants will be PM Anton Rop, chairman of the Slovenian Academy of Science and Arts Bostjan Zeks, chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Jozko Cuk and manager of the board of the pharmaceuticals Lek Metod Dragonja.

LJUBLJANA - Publisher Zalozba Pasadena is to stage a panel discussion on the media censorship upon the occassion of the publishing of the Slovenian translation of Michael Moore's "Stupid White Men".

WEDNESDAY, 18 June

BERLIN - Prime Minister Anton Rop is to pay a working visit to Germany. Besides Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel, who is to meet his German counterpart Joschka Fischer, taking part in the visit will also be a business delegation led by Chamber of Commerce's head Jozko Cuk. A business conference will be staged upon the occassion, which is to be attended by PM Rop, Economic Minister Tea Petrin and Cuk.

RIGA - Defence Ministry's State Secretary Milan Jazbec is to take part in the 1st regional meeting of the founding council of the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF) on defence and security reforms in the Baltic states.

PORTOROZ - The 9th conference on public law is to kick off, organised by the Ljubljana Faculty of Law and the Institute for Public Law.

LJUBLJANA - Europe Centre is to stage a panel on financing of the NGOs for helping the refugees in Slovenia and the EU.

LJUBLJANA - Ljubljana is to host the 9th conference of the European Society of General Practice/Family Medicine (WoncaEurope), entitled "The Future Challenges of General Practice/Family Medicine".

THURSDAY, 19 June

THESSALONIKE - Prime Minister Anton Rop and Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel are to take part at the EU summit. In the summit, the accession countries will have the right to participate in the discussion, but not in decision making.

LJUBLJANA - On the last day of the regular monthly session, the lawmakers are to discuss the supplementary budget.

LJUBLJANA - The government is to hold its weekly session.

LJUBLJANA - Regular political bilateral consultation between Ukraine and Slovenia are to take place. Slovenian side will be represented by Foreign Ministry's State Secretary Iztok Mirosic, while Ukrainian one by deputy Foreign Minister Volodymyr Yelchenko.

PORTOROZ - A three-day business conference on the public sector, organised by the association of economists, the Ljubljana Faculty of Economics and daily Dnevnik, is to kick off.

LJUBLJANA - Leading Slovenian insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav is to present its specialised health insurance company at a press conference.

FRIDAY, 20 June

PORTOROZ - Press conference at which participants at the conference of the International Federation of Wines and Spirits (FIVS) will present their views on the EU enlargement and the developments in the global wine market.

SATURDAY, 21 June

THESSALONIKE - PM Anton Rop and FM Dimitrij Rupel are to take part in the meeting of the EU leaders with the Western Balkan countries.

LJUBLJANA - Slovenian and Croatian Defence Ministers, Anton Grizold and Zeljka Antunovic, are to attend a presentation of the "eurobridge" launching bridge by the Slovenian Armed Forces.

SELCE PRI SKOFJI LOKI - Two-day camp of the opposition New Slovenia (NSi) is to kick off with the opening address by the party head Andrej Bajuk.

SUNDAY, 22 June

BOVEC - The junior coalition United List (ZLSD) is to hold its 5th conference to discuss future plans.
