Slovenian Mutual Benefit Society in Canada Celebrates 70 Years of Existence
Ottawa, 23 June - Members of the Bled Mutual Benefit Society, the oldest Slovenian insurer in Canada, contributed to the quality of life of numerous individuals - an example of the success of collective efforts for a common good, stressed Canada's PM Jean Chretien in his letter upon the 70th anniversary of the society. Crtomir Spacapan, state secretary and head of the government office for Slovenians abroad, attended the ceremony in Beamsville near Hamilton on Saturday.
