Ljubljana, 26 June - National holidays, such as Wednesday's National Day, see less and less flags flying on Slovenian houses. For Slovenians, the flag and other national symbols represent the State - a formation that is somewhere out there and not related to them personally. Maybe that is why they are a bit embarrassed to hang out flags. They perceive it as an ill omen that attracts tax authorities and other misfortunes, daily Delo says on Thursday.
