Minority MPs Critical of State's Minority Policies
Ljubljana, 26 June - Representatives of the Hungarian and Italian minorities in the Slovenian parliament, Marija Pozsonec and Roberto Batelli, have expressed concern over the fact that the population of both minorities in Slovenia has been decreasing rapidly since Slovenia gained independence 12 years ago. At Thursday's session of the parliamentary foreign policy committee, they accused the government of not having a vision for the development of minorities.
