LJUBLJANA - The recently backed reform of the common agricultural policy and what it means for Slovenia will be outlined at a press conference by the Slovenian Agriculture Minister Franci But and his aides at noon.
LJUBLJANA - Slovenia's Statistics Office is to present preliminary figures of GDP growth in the first quarter of 2003, as well as some other statistics.
LJUBLJANA - Slovenian police is to speak about the arrest of several persons suspected of being involved in the smuggling of people from former Yugoslavia and Turkey to Italy, Great Britain and the U.S. News conference scheduled for noon.
LJUBLJANA - A seminar on disability legislation and policy in the EU and Slovenia is to be held, organised by Slovenia's Council of Disability Organisations (SIOS). EU Ambassador to Slovenia Erwan Fouere is to address the participants.
LJUBLJANA - Ways of upgrading the competitive ability of the Slovenian textile industry and its adaptation to the EU internal market are to be discussed by the management board of the GZS association of textile, clothes and leather industries. Economics Minister Tea Petrin is to attend the session as well.
