Austria and Slovenia Paint Common Europe in Twin Towns on Border River
Ljubljana, 2 July - "Children's Arts Day - Our Europe", an event taking place in border towns of Radgona and Bad-Radkersburg on the Austrian side, was attended by Slovenian FM Dimitrij Rupel and his Austrian counterpart Benita Ferrero-Waldner on Wednesday. About 300 children from both countries made 25 floating islands shaped as European countries, present and future EU members, and a 140 sq. metre map of Europe, suspended from the bridge on the border river Mura as a link between Austria and Slovenia.
