STA Coverage on Thursday, 3 July
Ljubljana, 2 July - The STA English service will cover the following events on Thursday, 3 July:
LJUBLJANA - The government is to discuss guidelines for health reform; a bill to prevent corruption and a draft anti-corruption national programme. Whether the planned changes to electoral legislation are to be on the cabinet's agenda, is not yet known.
LJUBLJANA - The Slovenia-EU accession committee is to hold its last session, to be chaired by Jaime Garcia Lombardero, the EU's chief negotiator with Slovenia. This annual meeting is to focus on judiciary, denationalisation and public administration reform. A press conference is to follow at 6 PM.
BLED - The annual session of the CEFTA joint committee - this year presided by Slovenia - is to kick off. CEFTA signatories are to review their trade in 2002 and 2003, exchange info about negotiations with the EU and assess what implications the upcoming EU membership of five CEFTA signatories would have for relations within the CEFTA.
LJUBLJANA - Priorities of the Italian EU presidency are to be presented to the press at 3:30 PM by the Italian Ambassador to Slovenia Norberto Capello and EU Ambassador Erwan Fouere.
LJUBLJANA - Ombudsman Matjaz Hanzek is to hand his offices's 2002 report to Speaker Borut Pahor, whereupon he is to give a news conference at 2 PM.
LJUBLJANA - Head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Jozko Cuk is to present the new GZS leadership at a press conference at 5 PM after the GZS management board holds a session to appoint a new secretary general.
