Ljubljana, 6 July - Schedule of events in the week from 7 to 13 July:

MONDAY, 7 July

PODGORICA - European Affairs Minister Janez Potocnik is to begin a two-day working visit to Montenegro to meet with several top Montenegrin officials.

PALERMO - As an observer form an acceding country, Economics Minister Tea Petrin is to attend an Euromed conference of EU and Mediterranean countries on trade.

CERNOBBIO - Minister of the Information Society Pavel Gantar is to take part in an eGovernment conference, a two-day event held as part of Italy's EU presidency.

TUESDAY, 8 July

LJUBLJANA - Indonesian Foreign Minister Hassan Wirajuda is to pay a visit upon the invitation of his Slovenian counterpart Dimitrij Rupel. Wirajuda is also to meet with the Slovenian president and the prime minister.

LJUBLJANA - A traditional meeting of Slovenians living outside Slovenia, organised by the parliamentary commission for Slovenians abroad. The meeting is to be welcomed by the prime minister, the foreign minister and the speaker of parliament.

LJUBLJANA - Director of ILO Subregional Office for Central and Eastern Europe Petra Ulshoefer is to pay a working visit to review, together with officials of the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs the implementation of a Slovenia-ILO programme signed in February 2002.

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary foreign affairs committee is to be in session, alongside the commission for constitutional changes.

WEDNESDAY, 9 July

LJUBLJANA - President of Serbia-Montenegro Svetozar Marovic is to begin a two-day official visit upon the invitation of his Slovenian counterpart Janez Drnovsek. Marovic is also scheduled to meet with the prime minister and the speaker of parliament.

LJUBLJANA - July's parliamentary session is to kick off with PM Anton Rop answering oppositional lawmakers' questions. This will be the last regular session before parliamentary summer recess beginning on 15 July, through 1 September.

TEHERAN - Foreign Ministry State Secretary Iztok Mirosic is to travel to Iran for regular political consultations.

THURSDAY, 10 July

LJUBLJANA - Thai Foreign Minister Surakiart Sathirathai is to pay a visit upon the invitation of his Slovenian counterpart Dimitrij Rupel. He is also to meet with the Slovenian president, the prime minister and the speaker of parliament.

LJUBLJANA - The 16th congress of the International Organisation of Telephonic Emergency Services (IFOTES) is to begin, through 14 July.

PIRAN - A four-day gathering of young Slovenians from Slovenia and Italy is to be opened by President Janez Drnovsek. The 13th edition of Draga mladih is to discuss how creative the young are in the Slovenian society.

LJUBLJANA - The council of the public broadcaster RTV Slovenija is to discuss, among other things, an offer of how to establish a permanent channel for broadcasts from the National Assembly.

VARESE - Minister of Labour, Family and Social Affairs Vlado Dimovski is to attend a three-day informal meeting of labour and social affairs ministers from the EU and acceding countries.

LJUBLJANA - Weekly cabinet session.

BRUSSELS - The closing, two-day, session of the Convention on the future of Europe is to begin.

FRIDAY, 11 July

ROME - The EU's competition council is to gather for a two-day informal meeting, to be attended also by Slovenian Economics Minister Tea Petrin and Minister of Education, Science and Sport Slavko Gaber.
