Moederndorfer Making His Debut Feature Film, "The Suburbs"

Ljubljana, 6 July - Vinko Moederndorfer, an acclaimed author and theatre director, is making his debut feature film, a social drama about alienated people. "The Suburbs" (Predmestje) is laced with black humour. It tells a story about xenophobia and nationalism focusing on suburban people who have no prospects. Expected to be completed in mid 2004, the film is based on Moederndorfer's novel of the same title, which has been adapted by the author himself.
