Recent Seizure of Heroin Shows Balkan Route Is Still Alive
Sežana, 10 July - The 25 kilos of heroin seized by Slovenian customs officers last Sunday indicates that the Balkan route is being revived. As Koper criminal police chief Srecko Smodis told the press Thursday, the drug was seized in a car driven by a 29-year old citizen of Serbia-Montenegro. He allegedly entered Slovenia from Croatia on Saturday evening, and was travelling on to Italy.
