Weekly Review of Events Involving Slovenia from 5 to 11 July
Ljubljana, 12 July - Despite hot summer days and beginning of holidays, the domestic political arena has been rich in developments, as opposition leader Janez Jansa of Social Democrats (SDS) proposed setting up a forum for discussions on the future of Slovenia. The week was also marked by the ruling coalition preparing for its meeting on Sunday, which PM Rop described as "risky". Meanwhile, President of Serbia-Montenegro Svetozar Marovic met with President Janez Drnovsek and PM Anton Rop in what has been the highest state visit from Serbia-Montenegro since the two countries re-established diplomatic relations in late 2000.
