Safina in the Way of Srebotnik's Third WTA Title

Palermo, 13 July - Slovenia's highest ranked women's tennis player Katarina Srebotnik has lost Sunday's final of the US$ 110,000 WTA tournament in Palermo. The fourth-seeded Srebotnik was prevented from winning her third career WTA title by ninth-seed Dinara Safina of Russia. The Russian won the match in straight sets, 6:3 and 6:4.
