Lasko Gets Watchdog's Decision as Plahutnik Is Absolved of Charges
Ljubljana, 14 July - Economics Minister Tea Petrin on Monday rejected a demand of Belgium's Interbrew for head of the Slovenian Competition Protection Office to be removed from the procedure of determining the lawfulness of consolidation between two Slovenian brewers, Pivovarna Union and Pivovarna Lasko. Interbrew claimed Andrej Plahutnik was biased. Immediately after Petrin's decision, Lasko and Union said they received the watchdog's decision on whether the Union-Lasko consolidation violates anti-trust legislation.
