Students to Contribute to Construction of New Student Homes
Ljubljana, 17 July - A bill stipulating that a part of students' earnings would go for the construction of students' homes has been passed in parliament. As a result, the companies and individuals providing temporary jobs to students and pupils will have to pay a 12-percent tax, instead of the current rate of ten percent. Until 2009, half of the additional tax will be earmarked for the construction of student housing, which is to bring a total of SIT 3bn (EUR 12.8m).
