Joint Programme of Gov't and Central Bank to Help Slovenia on Way to ERM 2

Ljubljana, 18 July - Slovenia's central bank and the government will draft a joint programme of the country' joining the euro-zone, agreed PM Anton Rop and Bank of Slovenia governor Mitja Gaspari. "Our aim is to prepare everything for an efficient access of Slovenia to the European exchange rate mechanisms 2 (ERM 2) in the first half of 2005," explained Rop after meeting Gaspari on Friday.
