Portorož, 20 July - The second day of the Fed Cup quarter-finals brought more disappointment for Slovenian tennis players that lost another match to Russia, which thus gained the decisive point it needed to make it to the semi-finals. Slovenia's Katarina Srebotnik lost to Russia's Elena Bovina 6:7 (4) and 2:6.
While two more matches are still to be played today, it is clear that the Russian team has taken the victory.
