Over 500 New Drug Addicts Sought Help Last Year

Ljubljana, 21 July - In 2002, 2,633 drug users were registered at prevention and rehabilitation centres throughout Slovenia, according to the Public Health Institute. Of the registered addicts, 528 sought help for the first time, while 2,105 returned for treatment. The average age was 26, with the youngest person in aid programme being 13 years old and the oldest 59.
