Drnovsek Denies Any Knowledge of Combat Alert Status of Police in 1994

Ljubljana, 22 July - President Janez Drnovsek stressed that in 1994 in his capacity as the prime minister he was unaware of the special police units being in the state of full combat alert or of any measures mentioned by the former head of the special police Vinko Beznik in an interview for weekly Mladina on Monday, president's office said on Tuesday.
