Drought Threatens Cattle Fodder, KGZS Wants Prompt State Aid for Farmers

Ljubljana, 25 July - Farmers are facing increasing shortage of fodder beacuse of the unending drought that has hit Slovenia, said the Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry (KGZS) on Friday. After grass was hit by lack of water, now even the corn is feeling the consequences of the drought. That means that farmers in winter will not have enough fodder for animals. That is why KGZS appealed to the state to ensure rapid payment of aid to farmers.
