Merkur with Excellent Semi-Annual Results

Litija, 30 July - The Merkur group, retailing hardware, had SIT 65bn (EUR 277.3m) of sales revenues in the first six months of 2003, up 20 percent year on year and two percent more than anticipated. Net profits stood at SIT 800m (EUR 3.4m), CEO Bine Kordez told a press conference before the launch of a new Merkur shop in Litija, central Slovenia.
