Trade Unions Confederation Demands Resignation of Interior Minister
Ljubljana, 31 July - The decision to exclude the Pergam Confederation of Slovenia's Trade Unions and in particular its trade union associating health care workers from the negotiations on the final stage of talks on public sector wages was calculated and unlawful, the confederation's president Dusan Rebolj told Thrusday's press conference. For this reason, Pergam is demanding that Interior Minister Rado Bohinc resign his position. The minister responded that the Interior Ministry played no role in the trade unions' decisions to join or not the negotiations, as this would mean interfering with the trade unions' autonomy.
