Conscription Could Be Abolished Shortly, Says Minister Grizold
Ljubljana, 31 July - The project of abolishing conscription is in full swing, so we expect to finish it by the end of the year, Defence Minister Anton Grizold told Radio Slovenija on Thursday, after the government passed a decree on non-compulsory military service which allows citizens between the ages of 18 and 27 to serve in the Slovenian Armed Forces, even after the conscription service is abolished.
