EU Entry Will Bring no Immediate Changes at Border Control
Ljubljana, 13 August - Slovenian citizens will encounter no major changes when crossing the Slovenian border as of 1 May 2004, when Slovenia becomes member of the EU. There will be no need to change passports or identity cards, while the existing border control will remain in in practice until the introduction of the Schengen regime, according to the Interior Ministry.
