Slovenian Citizenship No Longer Needed for Status of War Veteran and Family Benefits
Ljubljana, 19 August - Two amendments eliminating the need to have Slovenian citizenship for war veterans and beneficiaries of additional family benefits took effect on Tuesday. The changed act on war veterans sets equal rights for war veterans living in Slovenia regardless of their citizenship, while the changed act on parental custody and family benefits now entitles persons with Slovenian citizenship or permanent residency to most of the family benefits in place in Slovenia.
