Mercator Posts Greater Profits in First Half of 2003

Ljubljana, 20 August - Mercator business system, the parent company of the Mercator group, has recorded SIT 74.18bn (315.9m) net sales revenues in first six months of 2003, 14.1 percent up over the same period last year. Mercator group, which also includes the retailer's various companies at home and abroad, has posted net sales revenues of SIT 155.77bn (EUR 663.1m), up 3.6 percent over the same period in 2002, and thus fulfilled 46.2 percent of the 2003 annual plan.
