Education Minister Dismisses Church's Criticism of School System
Ljubljana, 26 August - Slovenian Education Minister Slavko Gaber has rejected criticism voiced recently by dignitaries of the Roman Catholic Church that Slovenian schools have been failing in their task of educating students about values. "It takes a lot of pretending ignorance to claim that," Gaber told the press on Tuesday. He underlined, however, that school educates about fundamental values, not religious or ideological ones.
