This Year's Grape Harvest Down by 20 Percent Due to Drought

Gornja Radgona, 26 August - Due to drought, vintage time in Slovenia is to take place three to four weeks earlier than usually, while the harvest is expected to be around 20 percent smaller than last year, vice president of Slovenia's wine-makers' business community Dusan Brejc told the press Tuesday, on the sidelines of the International Agriculture and Food Fair in Gornja Radgona, eastern Slovenia. However, due to reserves of 29m litres, there will be no shortage of wine in Slovenia, he added.
