Amended Police Act Comes into Effect
Ljubljana, 27 August - The amended police act comes into force on Wednesday, introducing a number of changes to the legislation adopted in 1998. The government-proposed act among other things defines more clearly the relationship between the interior ministry and the police in a bid to upgrade expert control over police work.
