Italy Was Told by Clinton to End Dispute with Slovenia, Reveals Fassino's Book

Gorizia, 28 August - An insight has been given into part of the negotiations on Slovenia's associate EU membership as an Italian politician published a book in Italy on Thursday. Piero Fassino has revealed that the U.S. President Bill Clinton told Romano Prodi in 1996 to end disputes with Slovenia and admit the country to the EU.
